"It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog." - Mark Twain

If you are facing investigation, or have already been charged and have to appear in court, now is not the time to take shortcuts with your legal representation. You need a lawyer involved from the earliest possible stage - someone experienced who can give you considered, straightforward advice on whether you have a defence and, if you don’t, on what the sentencing outcome is likely to be if you plead guilty.

Sally is a senior lawyer with experience in all areas of criminal, traffic and regulatory defence work. She has previously spent 14 years as a Crown Prosecutor as well as prosecuting for DCC regulatory teams and acting in Resource Management Act and Health and Safety prosecutions.

As graduates of Otago University and with many clients whose own children are now students there, we have also developed a niche practice representing tertiary students on criminal charges and on applications for discharge without conviction, and can also assist in the university disciplinary processes that often follow on from a criminal charge or from bad behaviour on campus.

For our clients who are health professionals and health care organisations, we have built up a wealth of expertise representing and advocating for them on Health and Disability Commission complaints and in Coroner's inquests.
